The 16th IFAC Workshop on Control Applications of Optimization will take place at the Hotel Riessersee in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Located in southern Bavaria (Germany), Garmisch-Partenkirchen is only a quick train or car ride away from the nearest airport, Innsbruck, located just 70km south-east of the city.

Travelling by Train
The German Railways are a fast, comfortable, and environmentally friendly way of travelling to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. A regional train runs hourly from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Travelling by Plane
There are several airports in the vicinity of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The best options are Munich, Memmingen, Stuttgart, Innsbruck (Austria) or Zurich (Switzerland). The Munich airport is 140km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen; Innsbruck is only 70km away.
